Privacy Policy

Last updated: 18 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect personal data when you use wetrigr. We are committed to handling your data in line with UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

1. Who we are

wetrigr is a done-for-you social media automation service operated by Awesome Days Ltd (company number 13056484), a company registered in England & Wales, trading as “wetrigr” (“wetrigr”, “we”, “us”, “our”).

For the personal data described in this policy, Awesome Days Ltd is the data controller. You can contact us at hello@wetrigr.com.

2. The data we collect

Depending on how you use wetrigr, we may collect:

  • Account & contact data — your name, email address, phone number, password (stored hashed), and business name.
  • Business profile data — details about your business (type, location, branding, logo, brand colours, tone and posting preferences).
  • Content you provide — photos, videos and any text or descriptions you upload or send us for processing and publishing.
  • Social media connection data — when you connect an account through the platform's official login (Instagram Login, or Facebook Login for accounts linked to a Facebook Page), we receive an access token, your account's profile information, the Facebook Pages you manage (to identify the one linked to your Instagram), your posted content (media), and engagement metrics such as follower counts, likes and comments, together with Instagram's own insights for your account and posts (such as reach, views, saves, shares and taps on your profile link), for your Instagram, Facebook and/or TikTok Business/Creator accounts. We use these to publish and manage content you approve, to show your posted grid in your dashboard, and to produce your Instagram health check and performance reports. If you switch on posting to your Facebook Page, we also publish the posts you approve to the Facebook Page linked to your Instagram. We never use this data to build advertising profiles or for any purpose you haven't approved.
  • Messaging data — if you send photos or messages via WhatsApp, we process the message content and your WhatsApp number (through Twilio) to create your posts.
  • Instagram messages & comments — if you use the wetrigr Inbox, we receive the Direct Messages your customers send to your connected Instagram account and the comments people leave on your posts (the sender's Instagram username and ID, the message or comment text and the time). We use these only to forward them to you, to send the replies you write, and to send the automatic replies you have switched on.
  • Voice recordings: voice notes you send to go over a Reel. If you ask us to read your Reels in your own voice, the voice note you send for that is used to make a copy of your voice (see section 4).
  • Payment data — billing is handled by Stripe. We receive limited details (e.g. plan, status, last four digits of your card); we do not store full card numbers.
  • Usage & technical data — log data, IP address, device/browser information, and how you interact with the dashboard, used for security and to improve the service.

4. AI-generated captions and account reviews

We use Anthropic’s Claude to help generate captions and analyse your content. Image and event details may be sent to Anthropic to produce suggestions. When you connect your Instagram, your Instagram health check also uses it: your profile (name, bio and link), your follower, engagement and reach figures and details of your recent posts are sent to Anthropic so it can write your report and suggestions. Anthropic processes this data on our behalf as a sub-processor and does not use it to train its models in our configuration. AI-generated text is a suggestion that you can review and edit before anything is published.

AI music and voices. We use ElevenLabs to make a new music track for each Reel and, when you ask us to read a Reel for you, to turn its words into speech. If you ask for your own voice, we first ask for your permission, then send ElevenLabs the voice note you record for it so they can make a copy of your voice. The copy is used only for your own Reels and only when you ask, and you hear every Reel before it is posted. Say "delete my voice" at any time and we delete the copy and that voice note. Closing your account deletes them too.

5. Service providers (sub-processors)

We share data with carefully selected providers who process it on our behalf, only as needed to run wetrigr:

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

6. International transfers

Some of our providers are based outside the UK (for example, in the United States). Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses with the UK Addendum, or adequacy regulations, so your data remains protected to UK standards.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active and for as long as needed to provide the service. After you close your account, we delete or anonymise your data within a reasonable period, except where we must keep certain records (e.g. invoices) to meet legal, tax or accounting obligations. You can ask us to delete your content sooner (see your rights below).

8. Your social media connections

When you connect an account, you authorise wetrigr to publish and manage content on your behalf, and to read your profile, posted content, engagement metrics (such as follower counts, likes and comments) and insights (such as reach, views and saves) so we can show your posted grid and produce your Instagram health check and performance reports. We store your access tokens securely and use them only for these purposes. You can disconnect at any time from your wetrigr dashboard or by revoking access in your Instagram, Facebook or TikTok settings — after which we can no longer access or post to your account. To delete data we've already stored, see our Data Deletion page.

Instagram Inbox. If your connected Instagram account allows access to messages, Instagram sends wetrigr the Direct Messages and comments your business receives. We forward each one to you by email and/or WhatsApp with a link to reply, and post your reply back to the customer as a Direct Message or a public reply under their comment. If you have switched on automatic replies, and you haven't replied within the time you set, we send one short reply on your behalf (for example, telling the customer how to reach you). We only reply to conversations the customer started, within Instagram's messaging window, and we never send unsolicited, bulk or promotional messages. We keep these messages and comments so you can see them in your dashboard, and delete them when you disconnect Instagram, close your account or ask us to. For the people who message or comment on your business, we process this data on your behalf.

9. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to: access your data; have inaccurate data corrected; have your data erased; restrict or object to processing; data portability; and withdraw consent at any time where we rely on it. To exercise any of these, email hello@wetrigr.com and we’ll respond within one month.

For step-by-step instructions on removing wetrigr’s access to your connected accounts and deleting the data we hold, see our Data Deletion page.

If you’re unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, though we’d appreciate the chance to resolve it first.

10. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, access controls, hashed passwords and secured storage. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and the ICO of any breach where required by law.

11. Cookies

We use only the cookies and similar technologies necessary to run the dashboard (for example, to keep you logged in) and to keep the service secure. We do not use advertising cookies.

12. Children

wetrigr is a business service and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll post the new version here with an updated date and, for significant changes, notify you by email.
